No. 1 Hart Football Team Travels To Play Santa Monica

No. 1 Hart Football Team Travels To Play Santa Monica

The Hart football team takes its undefeated record and No. 1 ranking in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division on the road against Santa Monica tonight.

The Indians are coming off a 42-13 win over Birmingham and are averaging 52.2 points per game.

Santa Monica will be getting its second dose from the Foothill League. They are coming off a 42-21 loss to Valencia last week.

Those same Vikings travel to play Loyola tonight. Valencia is ranked No. 3 in the Northern Division and has a 3-1 record.

Loyola is 2-3 and coming off a 49-29 win over Mira Costa.

The Canyon football team will look to bounce back after losing its first game of the season last week. The Cowboys are on the road against Steele Canyon from the San Diego Section.

Canyon dropped to No. 8 in the Northern Division poll after losing to Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

Steele Canyon is 2-2 and had a bye last week.

The Golden Valley football team will look to snap a three-game losing streak against Chatsworth. The Grizzlies lost to Agoura, 45-26 last week.

Chatsworth is 1-3 and won its first game of the season over Kennedy.

The Saugus football team has its sights set on a three-game winning streak against Camarillo.

Saugus had a bye last week and squeaked past Ventura, 20-13, two weeks ago.

Camarillo is 3-1 and roughed up Ventura, 30-10, last week.

In auto racing, the NASCAR Pro Late Models will be in action at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield on Saturday night.

Tim Smith leads the NASCAR Pro Late Model standings at the track and has three wins this season.

The Mini Stocks, Mini Dwarfs and Spec-Modifieds will also be in action on Saturday night.

The green flag drops at 7.

In baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 9-1, in Game 1 of the National League Division Series.

The Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves, 6-1, in Game 1 of their National League Division Series. Adrian Gonzalez hit a two-run home run for the Dodgers.

Game 2 between the Dodgers and the Braves is tonight in Atlanta. Listen to the game on AM 1220, KHTS. First pitch is at 3:07.
