The Valencia High football team, the second-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division, puts its undefeated record on the line against Loyola tonight. Valencia is averaging 48 points per game and is coming off a 63-7 blowout over Santa Monica.
Loyola beat St. John Bosco, 21-10, last week for its second win of the season.
In other games tonight, West Ranch plays Los Osos at Valencia High School. West Ranch is on a three-game winning streak. The team’s only loss came in Week 1, 10-8 to Hueneme.
Canyon plays Buena at Canyon High School. Canyon is in search of its first win of the season. Buena is 3-1 and coming off a 29-26 win over Pacifica.
Saugus heads to Encino to play Crespi and Golden Valley travels to Lancaster to play Paraclete.

In high school volleyball, the West Ranch girls got 25 kills and 11 digs from Allison Summers in a four-game win over Saugus. West Ranch is 2-0 against Foothill League teams.
The Valencia girls handed Hart its first league loss, winning in four games. Hart’s Jennie Long had a team-high 11 kills.
