No. 22 The Master’s College Men’s Soccer Team Shuts Out No. 18 Concordia In OT

sportslocalThe Master’s College men’s soccer team needed overtime to win its game against Concordia in a match-up of NAIA top-25 teams.

Marcelo Silva scored the lone goal of the game and gave the 22nd-ranked Master’s College a 1-0 over No. 18 Concordia. Silva scored on a header off a free kick from Jacob Marchesani in the 93rd minute.

 

The Master’s College women’s soccer team snapped its little two-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over 14th-ranked Concordia.

Sierra Goff scored in the 20th minute and The Master’s College made her goal stand up. Goalkeeper Amanda Durocher made five saves to record the shutout.

The College of the Canyons women’s soccer team lost, 1-0, to L.A. Pierce College and had its six-game unbeaten streak snapped. COC is 3-1-3 in its last seven games.

In college volleyball, The Master’s College women lost in four games to Biola. It was the 11th straight loss for The Master’s College women.

The College of the Canyons women’s team swept Glendale College in three games to win its third match in a row. Lindsey Wilcox had 14 kills to lead COC.

The College of the Canyons men’s soccer team beat Moorpark College, 4-2.

In college golf, the College of the Canyons women’s team finished third in a Western State Conference match at Bakersfield Country Club. Jennifer Kim shot a team best 78 for COC.

Bakersfield College won the match, shooting 303 as a team. Santa Barbara City College was second at 330, followed by COC at 333.
