RJ Johnson Wins Again In Super Trucks At Irwindale

R.J. Johnson, a driver from Canyon Country, won the NASCAR Super Trucks race at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale on Saturday night. It was his second win in a row and his third in the past four Super Trucks races at the track.
Johnson was the fastest qualifier, but started eighth. He moved into first place on lap 10 and led the final 30 laps of the race.

Ron Peterson of Riverside was second, followed my Mason Britton of Sacramento in third.
Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill, the leader in the Super Trucks standings at Irwindale, was fourth.
Travis Thirkettle of Fillmore posted a pair of top fives in the NASCAR Super Late Model races at Irwindale. It was a twin night of racing in the Super Late Model division. Thirkettle was fourth in the first race and fifth in the second race.
Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills won both races. It was his fourth Super Late Model win in a row and his eighth of the season.
Dennis Furden of Santa Clarita was 14th in the first race and 11th in the second race.
In other races, Dalton Kuhn of San Marcos won the South West Tour Trucks race and Daryl Scoggins of Sunland won the Mini Stocks race.
