Rory Markas, Angels Broadcaster, Found Dead In Palmdale

sportslocalRory Markas, the voice of the Los Angeles Angels for the past eight seasons, has died. He was 54.

Markas was found dead in his home in Palmdale. The cause of death is not known.

 

In addition to calling Angels baseball games, Markas was a broadcaster for the Los Angeles Clippers and the University of Southern California men’s basketball.

He was also a sports reporter for CBS Channel 2 News, KNX radio and a sports anchor on KTTV Channel 11.
