Santa Clarita Christian Football Team Opens CIF Playoffs Against Southlands Christian

sportslocalThe Santa Clarita Christian football team will play its first round playoff game at College of the Canyons on Saturday.

Santa Clarita Christian, the champions of the Heritage League and the reigning CIF Division I 8-man champions, open the playoffs against Southlands Christian of the Express League. Game time is at noon.

 

In high school volleyball, the West Ranch girls are at home for their second-round playoff game against Marymount tonight at 7. Marymount, champions of the Sunshine League, swept Atascadero in three games in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division I-A playoffs.

Valencia, the champions of the Foothill League, is on the road to face El Toro in the second round of the playoffs. El Toro swept Estancia in the first round.

Santa Clarita Christian is home for the second round of the Division V-AA playoffs against Hesperia Christian. All games are scheduled to start at 7.

In college basketball, the College of the Canyons men’s team got 24 points from Brannon Bradley in a 65-46 win over El Camino College. COC is undefeated at 3-0 and will play in the Irvine Tournament next week.
