Nick Moore turnovers (three interceptions and one fumble) prove to be too costly to overcome for the Indians in the KHTS Game of the Week. Indians take their 3-1 record to Ventura next week.

Golden Valley 38

Rio Mesa 41

Despite big game from KJ Maduike (4 touchdowns), Golden Valley falls behind in the second half and can’t recover. Grizzlies head into bye week 4-1.

Valencia 48

Bakersfield 9

Moises Haynes, Aaron Thomas and Jayvaun Wilson each get on the board with rushing touchdowns as the Vikings rolled over Bakersfield on the road. Valencia goes into next week with a 3-1 record and will face Calabasas in a big non-league matchup, next week’s KHTS Game of the Week.

Saugus 35

Agoura 23

Jared Pane caught two touchdown receptions from Nate Eldridge and Coleman Vanderhorst caught a 2-pt conversion and sealed the game with a late interception as the Centurions head to the bye week 5-0 with Foothill League play up next.

Oxnard 17

West Ranch 21

Wildcats’ QB Wyatt Eget scores the game-winning touchdown on a 3-yd run with 5 seconds to play in the game to give West Ranch the 21-17 win. West Ranch is now 3-2 with four of the first five games decided by four points or less.

Canyon 48

Simi Valley 13

Canyon dominates the second half with 42 points including touchdowns for Camden Apsay, Henry Arellano, and three from Brian Devereaux. Cowboys have won four straight and are 4-1 on the season.

Trinity 44

Southlands Christian 23

Trinity wins another big road game in final tune-up before Faith Bowl against Santa Clarita Christian. Knights’ record stands at 3-1.
