Santa Clarita Sports: CIF Southern Section Boys Soccer Playoffs Begin

The CIF Southern Section boys soccer playoffs begin today with four teams from the Santa Clarita Valley in action.

The West Ranch boys are home for a game against Bishop Montgomery in the Division 4 wild-card round. West Ranch finished in third place in the Foothill League.

Bishop Montgomery is the third-place team from the Del Rey League.

The Saugus boys are on the road to open the Division 4 playoffs. The Centurions take on Culver City, the third-place team from the Ocean League.

The Trinity Classical Academy is home for its wild-card game in the Division 7 playoffs. Trinity, the third-place team from the Heritage League, plays Santa Clara, an at-large team from the Frontier League.Santa Clarita Sports - High School Basketball

The Albert Einstein Academy boys takes on Grace Brethren.

The Hart boys soccer team, the Foothill League champion, plays Colony in the first round of the Division 3 playoffs on Thursday.

The Valencia boys are on the road for their first-round playoff game against Salesian.

The Hart girls, the champions of the Foothill League, play Ventura in the first round of the Division 2 playoffs at home on Friday.

The Valencia girls open the playoffs on the road against Santa Barbara.

The Canyon girls are also on the road in the first round against Newbury Park.

The West Ranch girls begin playoffs in the wild-card round against San Marcos on Wednesday.

The Santa Clarita Christian girls enter the Division 7 playoffs with an unbeaten 15-0-4 record. They will play Dunn in the first round.

In high school basketball, the Hart boys are the No. 3 seed in the Division 2A playoffs and open at home against Beckman on Friday. Hart won the Foothill League championship with an undefeated 10-0 record.

The Trinity Classical Academy boys are the No. 1 seed in the Division 6 playoffs. They will play New Covenant Academy in the first round.

Trinity finished in second place in the Heritage League.

The Santa Clarita Christian boys are the No. 3 seed in the Division 5A playoffs and have a bye in the first round.

The West Ranch boys are home for their first-round playoff game in Division 1AA. They will play Milikan, the No. 10 seed in the playoffs.

The Valencia boys are on the road in the first round of the Division 1AA playoffs and play Quartz Hill, the Golden League champion.

The Canyon boys are in the playoffs as an at-large team. The Cowboys play Loara in the first round of the Division 2AA playoffs.
