Santa Clarita Sports: Hart Boys Basketball All Alone Atop The Foothill League

The Hart boy’s basketball team is all alone atop the Foothill League standings after downing Valencia, 88-70.

Hart improved to 4-0 in league. Valencia dropped to 3-1.

Lewis Stallworth scored 28 points to lead Hart. Myles Franklin scored 18.

Santa Clarita High School Sports

The Canyon boy’s basketball team beat Saugus, 47-37. Canyon is tied with Valencia for second place in the Foothill League with a 3-1 record.

Dean Hendrix-Davis scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds for Canyon.

The West Ranch boys beat Golden Valley, 82-70, in overtime. West Ranch improved to 2-2 in league. Golden Valley dropped to 0-4.

The Valencia girls beat Hart, 65-45, in the battle for first place in the Foothill League. Sandra Ikeora scored 18 points to lead Valencia. The Vikings improved to 4-0 in league.

The Hart girls dropped to 3-1 in league.

In high school soccer, the West Ranch girls shut out Golden Valley, 1-0. Allie Theiss scored in the 12th minute.

The Hart boys shut out Valencia, 2-0, in a Foothill League game. Anthony Salvadori and Brayon Rodriguez scored for Hart.

The Santa Clarita Christian boy’s soccer team beat Albert Einstein Academy, 3-1.

Los Angeles Sports Report

In the NBA, the Lakers lost to the New York Knicks, 110-103, and went 2-5 on their Grammy road trip.

The Lakers are back at Staples Center for a game against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.

In the NHL, the Kings are in San Jose for a game against the Sharks tonight. The Kings are coming off a 3-0 shutout loss to the Anaheim Ducks at Dodger Stadium.
