Santa Clarita Sports: Master’s College Men’s Basketball Wins In Overtime

Master’s College men’s basketball

The Master’s College men’s basketball team needed double overtime but won its first-round game in the Golden State Athletic Conference.

The Mustangs knocked off Arizona Christian University, 80-77, and advanced to the semifinals of the tournament.

Derrick Fain scored 23 points and made six 3-pointers for The Master’s College.

The score was tied 63-63 at the end of regulation. After the first overtime period, the score was 71-71. The Master’s College outscored Arizona Christian, 9-6, in the second overtime.

The Master’s College women’s basketball team takes on Westmont in the semifinals of the Golden State Athletic Conference tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers

In the NBA, the Clippers blew out the Lakers, 142-94, and won their sixth game in a row.

The Clippers handed the Lakers a 48-point loss, the worst in franchise history.

It doesn’t get any easier for the Lakers. They play the Nuggets in Denver tonight.

The Clippers play the Atlanta Hawks at Staples Center on Saturday.

Los Angeles Kings

In the NHL, the Kings beat the Winnipeg Jets, 3-1, and won their sixth game in a row.

Dustin Brown scored his 12th goal of the season.

Next up for the Kings are the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.
