Calvin Estrada smashed a clutch two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Cougars (27-11, 16-2) the 10-8 victory.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers defeated the rival Giants 5-1 in yesterday’s matinee to split the series at two games apiece.

Tonight, the Philadelphia Phillies bring their six-game winning streak to Chavez Ravine for a weekend series. First pitch is at 7:10 and be sure to catch the action live on KHTS Radio.

Los Angeles Chargers

The LA Chargers (still takes some getting used to) stood pat with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft Thursday night, and went a direction fans and draft analysts, alike, did not predict.

Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams was the pick, a player who joins a crowded position with Keenan Allen, Travis Benjamin, Dontrelle Inman and the undrafted Tyrell Williams under contract.

Williams caught 98 passes from Deshaun Watson last season for 1,361 yards and eleven touchdowns, and should enter the lineup early on as a possession receiver capable of making the tough, contested catches.

The Chargers will be back on the clock tonight with the 38th and 71st overall picks.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams front office took Thursday off, thanks to last years blockbuster trade that landed them Jared Goff in 2016.

Tonight, the Rams will be on the clock in both the 2nd and 3rd rounds with picks No. 37 & 69.
