West Ranch is home for its opener against San Marcos from the Channel League. The game is at Valencia High.
Golden Valley opens against Antelope Valley from the Golden League at Canyon High.
Canyon is on the road and plays Calabasas from the Canyon League tonight.
Saugus travels to Simi Valley, another Canyon League opponent.
Santa Clarita Christian opens its season on Saturday against Blair from Pasadena at Canyon High School.

In swimming, Hart High’s Nikol Popov was fifth in the 50-meter breaststroke at the FINA World Junior Championships in Singapore.

She reached the semifinals in the 100-meter breaststroke, but did not qualify for the final.
In track and field, Canyon High graduate Alysia Montano failed to qualify for the final in the 800 meters at the IAAF World Championships in China.
She stumbled and fell during her qualifying race and did not advance.
