Santa Clarita Sports Report: December 03, 2014: The Saugus boys basketball team beat Nogales, 76-55, in pool play in the Burbank tournament.
Zach Phipps scored 20 points for Saugus. Cameron Smith had a double-double with 10 points and 10 assists.
Caleb Grisanti also recorded a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
The Golden Valley boys basketball team beat Glendale, 76-63, in pool play at the Burbank tournament.
Esi Jimenez scored 18 points and Derrick Schlossman had 17 points for Golden Valley. The Grizzlies made 10 3-pointers in the game.

The Hart boys basketball team beat Morningside, 48-40, in the first round of the Westchester tournament.
Myles Franklin scored 11 points and had seven assists for Hart.
Preston Dominguez had 11 points and DB Gibbs grabbed 10 rebounds.
In college basketball, The Master’s College women were upset by Concordia, 85-73, in the Golden State Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
The Lady Mustangs are ranked No. 14 in the NAIA. They led by one point at halftime, 39-38, but were outscored by 13 points in the second half.
The Master’s College women dropped to 5-3 overall.
The Master’s College men also lost their Golden State Athletic Conference opener to Concordia, 86-82. The Master’s Colllege men dropped to 2-3.
In the NBA, the Lakers beat the Detroit Pistons, 106-96, and won their second game in a row.
Los Angeles Sports
The Lakers improved to 5-13 on the season. They head to Washington, D.C., for a game against the Wizards tonight.
In the NHL, the Kings shut out the visiting Boston Bruins, 2-0. Jonathan Quick made 31 saves and notched his 34th career shutout.
Next up for the Kings are the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night.
