Santa Clarita Sports Report: December 04, 2014

Santa Clarita Sports Report: December 04, 2014: In college cross country, The Master’s College women finished ranked 13th in the final NAIA national poll.

The Lady Mustangs were 13th at the national championship meet in Kansas last month.

Saugus High graduate Karis Frankian was ninth in the race in 18 minutes, 7.7 seconds. She earned a spot on the NAIA All America team for finishing in the top 15.

The Master’s College men’s team was ranked No. 18 in the final NAIA poll. The Mustangs were 18th in the national championship meet in Kansas.

In the NBA, the Lakers lost to the Washington Wizards, 111-95. The Lakers lost their first game on their little three-game road trip.

They head to Boston for a game against the Celtics on Friday night.

The Clippers beat the visiting Orlando Magic, 114-86, and easily won their sixth game in a row.

Blake Griffin scored 21 points and had eight rebounds.

Los Angeles Sports

Next up for the Clippers are the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday night.

In the NHL, the Kings take on the Coyotes in Phoenix tonight. The Kings have won two of their past three games. They are coming off a 2-0 shutout against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night.
