Santa Clarita Sports Report: December 11, 2014: The Valencia girls soccer team shut out Chaminade, 1-0. Jasmin Parada scored the lone goal of the game in the 11th minute. Emily Simon assisted on the goal.
The Valencia girls handed Chaminade its first loss of the season. The Vikings improved to 2-1-1.
In college soccer, three players from The Master’s College women’s team earned spots on the NAIA All America team.

Katie Farris was selected to the NAIA All America second team. She tallied a career high 41 points and scored 18 goals for the Lady Mustangs.
Natasha Coyle and Jordan Benson were selected as honorable mentions to the NAIA All America team.
The Master’s College women were ranked No. 13 in the NAIA and finished with a 13-6-1 record.
In the major leagues, the Dodgers made a couple of trades and revamped their middle infield.
The Dodgers added Jimmy Rollins at shortstop and Howie Kendrick at second base in deals with the Marlins, Phillies and Angels.
The Dodgers traded All Star second baseman Dee Gordon and pitcher Dan Haren to the Miami Marlins in a six-player deal that included Andrew Heaney, the top pitching prospect for the Marlins.
The Dodgers turned around and traded Heaney to the Angels for Kendrick.

Rollins, a three-time all star, was picked up by the Dodgers in a deal for two minor leaguers.
In the NBA, the Clippers beat the Indiana Pacers, 103-96. The Clippers have won nine games in a row.
They will try to make it a perfect 10 against the Washington Wizards on Friday night.
In the NHL, the Kings are in Ottawa for a game against the Senators tonight.
The Kings have lost two games in a row. They lost to the Buffalo Sabres, 1-0, on Tuesday night.
