Santa Clarita High School Boys Basketball

Canyon have lost their first two games of the season at the Rose City Roundball Classic in Pasadena, but will have a chance to rest and get ready for action in the Warriors Invitational at Heritage Christian where they will play Santa Clara Tuesday night at 5:30 p.m.

West Ranch came out victorious versus Eagle Rock winning by the final score 63-34, and collect their first win of the year.

Valencia defeated Kennedy 58-40 at home to open the season 1-0. They will next play Santa Barbara on Wednesday night at 5:00 p.m.

Hart couldn’t get the job done last night losing 62-49 against tournament hosts Westchester in the Westchester High School Trevor Ariza Tip-Off.

Saugus will continue tournament play in the Warriors Invitational at Heritage Christian Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. against tournament host, Heritage Christian.

Golden Valley will start tournament play in the Sierra Canyon Invitational Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. against tournament hosts, Sierra Canyon.

Santa Clarita High School Girls Basketball

Canyon will play host to Agoura tonight at 6:30 p.m.

West Ranch struggled against Notre Dame last night in the Crescenta Valley Tournament losing 39-21. Today they will play Flintridge Sacred Heart at 3:15 p.m.

Valencia will play at Sierra Canyon tonight at 6:00 p.m.

Hart drop to 0-2 on the season after losing to Camarillo 62-34 in the Buena-Kiwanis Basketball Tournament.

Saugus continued to struggle putting up points versus Birmingham last night losing 56-38. They will play at Crossroads tonight at 5:00 p.m.

Golden Valley will play La Salle in the Burroughs Tournament Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.

Highland vs. Hart (2-0) 

Saugus (1-1) vs. Taft

Golden Valley (0-1) vs. Littlerock

Santa Clarita High School Girls Soccer

Friday’s girls soccer schedule:

Saugus (0-0) vs. Oak Park

COC Basketball

The Cougars women’s basketball opened up the Contra Costa Classic with a big 68-46 win versus Los Medanos. The Cougars will take on Laney College tonight at 8:00 p.m.

TMU Basketball

The Mustang’s men’s basketball team will be looking to extend their winning streak tonight as they get set to take on Cal Maritime at College of the Canyons. Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m.

The Mustang’s women’s basketball team will take on Northern New Mexico tonight at 5:00 p.m. The Mustang’s are coming off a big 87-52 win against La Sierra putting them at 5-1 this season.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers will be playing in Toronto tonight as they look to continue winning form.

Los Angeles will be without shooting guard Nick Young, who suffered a strained right calf muscle in the loss to the Pelicans in New Orleans on Tuesday. He will be out from two to four weeks. While D’Angelo Russell will be out another week as he deals with a a left-knee injury.

Tip off for tonights game is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m.
