Santa Clarita High School Boys Basketball

Here are the playoff scenarios for each team:

Golden Valley – win clinches 2nd place | Canyon loss clinches 2nd place

Canyon – win and in (3rd place) | win + Golden Valley loss (tie for 2nd place)

West Ranch – win + canyon loss (tie for 3rd place)

Saugus – win (tie for 3rd place)

Valencia (3-6) vs Hart (9-0)

Heritage League boys basketball schedule tipping at 7:30:

Valencia, Hart and Saugus are set as the Foothill League playoff teams with the league champion to be decided today.

Foothill League boys soccer schedule kickoff at 3:15:

Valencia (8-0-1) vs Hart (8-1)

Canyon (1-6-2) vs Saugus (4-3-2)

Golden Valley (0-8-1) vs West Ranch (2-5-2)

Foothill League girls soccer schedule:

Hart (7-0-2) vs Valencia (7-2) at 5:00

West Ranch (4-3-2) vs Golden Valley (2-7) at 3:15

Saugus (0-8-1) vs Canyon (3-4-2) at 5:00

COC Cougars

The Cougars basketball teams continue in opposite directions.

The men lost their 12th consecutive game and remain winless in the Western State Conference after a 92-62 loss at home to Citrus. Victor Nwaba led all scoreres with 22 points as the lone bright spot for Canyons.

On the other hand, the women won their 16th in a row and stayed perfect in WSC play with a 72-61 victory over Citrus.

Monica Friedl had 26 points and 12 rebounds and frontcourt mate Hannah Green was one block away from another triple-double. The sophomore finished with a 17-18-9 stat line. The Cougars are 11-0 in the conference.

Canyons baseball team is off to a hot start winners of four straight to open the season. The Cougars are at Allan Hancock today.
