Santa Clarita Sports Report: January 05, 2015: Hart’s Brady White was instrumental in the West’s 39-36 victory in the US Army All America Bowl in Texas.

White, Hart’s senior quarterback, was 6-for-8 passing for 70 yards and a touchdown.

His Hart teammate, receiver Trent Irwin, caught one pass for 4 yards.

In high school basketball, the Canyon boys beat Moorpark, 57-48. Luke Edwards scored 13 points for Canyon. Ben Taufahema scored 12 points, had eight rebounds and five assists.

Canyon improved to 9-8.

The Santa Clarita Christian boys basketball team beat Monrovia, 66-64.Chris Catalano scored 23 points and made seven 3-pointers.

Chris Collins scored 20 points and had 20 rebounds.

Santa Clarita Christian improved to an undefeated 6-0.

In college basketball, The Master’s College men lost to Cal State San Marcos, 96-63. Cal State San Marcos is the No. 1 ranked team in the NAIA. The Master’s College dropped to 3-8.

The Master’s College women’s basketball team lost to Cal State San Marcos, 64-47. Nicole Nitake scored 19 points for the Lady Mustangs. The Master’s College women are 10-4.

In the NBA, the Lakers beat the Indiana Pacers, 88-87. Nick Young scored 22 points. The Lakers have won two of their past three games.

They play the Portland Trail Blazers tonight.
