Santa Clarita Sports Report: January 20, 2015: Valencia High graduate Max Homa had the best week of his short PGA career.

Homa finished in a tie for sixth place at the Sony Open in Hawaii. It was the best finish of his PGA career.

He shot a 1-under 69 in the final round by making a birdie on the 18th hole. He was 12-under for the four-round tournament. His best round was on Saturday when he shot 7-under 63.

Jimmy Walker won the Sony Open by nine strokes.

In the NBA, the Clippers beat the Boston Celtics, 102-93, in an afternoon showdown at Staples Center.

Next up for the Clippers are the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
