The Master’s University Basketball

The Mustangs (15-3, 4-3) got their third straight GSAC win by finishing Westmont Thursday evening on the road, 89-68.

Hansel Atencia led the way with 23 points for the Mustangs. Timothy Soares also put up 16 points. The Mustangs shot 30-54 (55.6%).

The Mustangs will be back on the court next Thursday as they get set to face Menlo in a GSAC game. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Mustangs (12-6, 2-5) dropped their second game in a row with a 61-58 lost against Westmont.

Bianca Cubello led the Lady Mustangs with 16 points and six rebounds. Hannah Ostrom also had 11 points.

The Lady Mustangs will face Menlo next Thursday with the game scheduled at 5:30 p.m.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers will face a tough and momentum driven Indiana Pacers tonight.

The Pacers have won seven of their last eight contest including their latest win against the Sacramento Kings, in which Paul George and company rallied down from 22 points to win 106-100.

The Lakers are coming off a loss against the Denver Nuggets in which they rallied back but fell short, 127-121. Lou Williams led the way for the Lakers with 24 points off the bench.

Tonight’s game is scheduled for 7:30 PST.
