Santa Clarita Sports Report: July 10, 2015 – Valencia High graduate Alison Lee is tied for 18th after the first round of the US Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania.

She is even par after 16 holes. Play was suspended in the first round because of high winds.

Karrie Webb and Marina Alex share the lead after the first round. They completed their rounds at 4-under.

In women’s soccer, the Santa Clarita Blue Heat lost to the Colorado Rush, 2-0, in a W-League game.

The Blue Heat had their three-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 4-6.

They play again tonight against the Colorado Pride.

In the major leagues, the Dodgers shut out the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-0. Zack Greinke tossed eight scoreless innings and gave up only one hit.

He ran his scoreless innings streak to 35 2/3 and lowered his ERA to 1.39, best in the major leagues.

The Dodgers took three of four games against the Phillies and shut them out in back-to-back games.

Next up for the Dodgers are the Milwaukee Brewers tonight at the Ravine.

Mike Bolsinger starts for the Dodgers against Jimmy Nelson for the Brewers.
