Santa Clarita Sports Report: July 29, 2015 – Hart High graduate Mike Montgomery pitched into the seventh inning for the Seattle Mariners and got a no-decision in a 4-3, extra inning loss to the Diamondbacks.

He gave up three runs on five hits and struck out five. He is 4-4 with a 3.20 ERA in his rookie season with the Mariners.

Hart High graduate Trevor Bauer pitched nine innings for the Cleveland Indians but lost to the Kansas City Royals, 2-1.  He gave up five hits but Eric Hosmer’s two-run home run in the ninth inning won the game. Bauer dropped to 8-8.

Hart High graduate James Shields went seven innings against the Mets, but his Padres lost, 4-0. Shields gave up three runs on seven hits. He struck four, walked none and dropped to 8-4.

The Dodgers were shut out by the visiting Oakland A’s, 2-0. The Dodgers only got three hits in the game. A’s starter Sonny Gray went the distance for the complete game shutout.

The Dodgers have lost three games in a row and are 5-6 since the All-Star break.
