Santa Clarita Sports Report: June 24, 2015

Santa Clarita Sports Report: June 24, 2015 – Zoe Campos, a 12-year-old from Valencia, leads the American Junior Golf Association Taylor Made-Adidas Junior All-Star Tournament at Stonehenge Country Club in Indiana.

She shot an even-par 71 in the first round of the tournament and has a one stroke lead.

The three-round tournament continues today.

In softball, four players from the Santa Clarita Valley were selected to the All-CIF Southern Section first teams.

West Ranch’s Jessie Harper and Valencia’s Allysa Shipman were selected to the Southern Section Division 1 first team.

Hailey Aguilar from Santa Clarita Christian and Cassidy Cangemi from Trinity Classical Academy were selected to the Southern Section Division 7 team.

Dodgers News

In the major leagues, the Dodgers lost to the Chicago Cubs, 1-0, in 10 innings.

The Dodgers have lost two in a row to the Cubs and four of their past five games.

The Dodgers will try to snap the slide against the Cubs tonight.
