Santa Clarita Blue Heat

Real Salt Lake took an early 1-0 lead Saturday night, but the Heat rallied thanks to a Kasandra Massey game-winner in the 56th minute to complete the comeback after Melissa Fernandez equalized in the first half.

Santa Clarita (2-1-2) now sits two points behind RSL in the United Women’s League Western Conference standings with three games to play.

CIF-SS Inaugural MVP ADs

Starting in the 2015/16 school year, the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section launched the new MVP AD program to aid in professional growth and networking opportunities for Southern California’s high school athletic directors.

The inaugural list of athletic directors was announced today, and one from the Santa Clarita Valley was honored.

Dr. Matthew Dixon, Athletic & Physical Education Director at Trinity Classical Academy, was named an MVP AD. Congratulations, Dr. Dixon.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers (42-36) avoided a four-game sweep in Pittsburgh on Monday with a four-run fifth inning rally that completed a comeback from down 4-0.

Dodgers’ bullpen pitched four innings of scoreless baseball to keep the team on top.

Los Angeles now heads to Milwaukee for a series with the Brewers, Tuesday.
