Santa Clarita Sports Report: June 4, 2015

Santa Clarita Sports Report: June 4, 2015 – Championship Saturday is set.

The Hart and Santa Clarita Christian baseball teams are playing for CIF championships. The West Ranch softball team is in its first CIF championship game.

Hart plays Huntington Beach in the Southern Section Division 1 title game on San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino at 7.

Hart is playing in its first CIF championship game since 1999. The Indians won the Division 2 championship that year against Righetti.

The Santa Clarita Christian baseball team plays Excelsior Charter in the Southern Section Division 7 championship game at UC Riverside at noon.

Santa Clarita Christian is playing in its second CIF championship game. The Cardinals won their first CIF baseball championship in 2004.

The West Ranch softball team plays Norco in the Southern Section Division 1 championship game at Barber Memorial Park in Irvine at 6.

West Ranch has a 15-game winning streak and is making its first appearance in a CIF championship game.

In the major leagues, the Dodgers lost to the Colorado Rockies, 7-6. The Rockies scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game.

The Dodgers split their four-game series against the Rockies.

They are back home to start a weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals tonight. First pitch is at 7:10.
