Santa Clarita Sports Report: May 06, 2015

Santa Clarita Sports Report: May 06, 2015 – The College of the Canyons men’s golf team won the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Championships.

Sam Sloman shot the low round for College of the Canyons at Olivas Link Golf Course in Ventura. He was 4-under 68. Eric Kim and Matt Murray were 3-under 69.

In college softball, the College of the Canyons lost to Cerritos College, 2-0, in the Southern California Regional playoffs.

Santa Clarita Sports

COC lost the second game, 11-8. Cerritos scored three runs in the sixth inning to break an 8-8 tie.

In the NBA, the Clippers face the Houston Rockets in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The Clippers won Game 1 without guard Chris Paul. He sat out the game with an injured hamstring.

Tipoff is at 6:30.

Los Angeles Sports

In the major leagues, the Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-2. Zack Greinke improved to 5-0. Justin Turner hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning.

The Dodgers wrap up their series against the Brewers tonight. Joe Wieland starts for the Dodgers against Wily Peralta for the Brewers.

First pitch is at 5:10.
