Santa Clarita Sports Report: May 12, 2015 – The Valencia boys volleyball team opens the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs at home against Arcadia tonight at home.

Valencia is the No. 2 seed in the playoffs and the champion of the Foothill League.

Arcadia is the fourth-place team from the Pacific League.

Valencia is looking for its first CIF title since 2008.

Canyon opens the Southern Section Division 2 playoffs at home against Temple City.

West Ranch is on the road for its first-round match against Aliso Niguel.

Oak Park is the No. 1 seed in the Division 2 playoffs.

In high school tennis, the West Ranch boys face Charter Oak in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs on Wednesday.

West Ranch is the Foothill League champion.

The Valencia boys are home for their first-round match against Diamond Ranch.

The Hart boys are on the road in the first round against Diamond Bar.

In the major leagues, the Dodgers beat the visiting Miami Marlins, 5-3, and won their fourth game in a row.

Scott Van Slyke hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game.

The Dodgers play the Marlins in Game 2 of their series tonight.

First pitch is at 7:10.

In the NBA, the Clippers can wrap up their Western Conference semifinals series against the Houston Rockets tonight.

The Clippers are up 3-1. Game 5 is in Houston. Tip-off is at 6:30.
