Santa Clarita Sports Report: May 15, 2015 – The Valencia boys volleyball team made quick work of Torrance in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs.

Valencia swept Torrance in three games to advance to the quarterfinals.

Kyle Ensing had 25 kills for Valencia. The Vikings are the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.

They play Capistrano Valley in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

The Canyon boys volleyball team beat Crescenta Valley in four games in their second round playoff match.

Jared Hathaway had 18 kills for Canyon.

The Cowboys take on Oak Park, the No. 1 seed in the playoffs, on Saturday.

In the NBA, the Clippers lost to the Houston Rockets, 119-107, in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals.

The Clippers blew a 19-point lead in the second half.

The series is tied, 3-3. Game 7 is in Houston on Sunday.

Los Angeles Sports

In the major leagues, the Dodgers lost to the visiting Colorado Rockies, 5-4.

Carlos Gonzalez hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning to give the Rockies the lead.

The Dodgers have lost two games in a row. The Rockies snapped an 11-game losing streak.

Game 2 of the series between the Dodgers and the Rockies is tonight at Dodgers Stadium.

First pitch is at 7:10.
