Santa Clarita Sports Report: November 06, 2014: The Valencia girls tennis team easily won its first round match in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs, 16-2, over Whitney from Cerritos.

All three doubles teams for Valencia swept their sets. Valencia is undefeated at 20-0 and the No. 1 seed in the Southern Section Division 2 playoffs.

The Vikings play Arcadia in the second round on Friday.

The Hart girls tennis team beat Glendora, 15-3, in its first round Southern Section Division 2 playoff match.

The Hart singles player didn’t lose a set, winning all nine against Glendora.

The Indians take on Troy from Fullerton in the second round on Friday.

The West Ranch girls tennis team lost to Beverly Hills, 11-7, in the first round of playoffs. Beverly Hills is the No. 4 seed in the playoffs.

In college soccer, Katie Farris from The Master’s College was selected as the Golden State Athletic Conference player of the year. She led the conference with 17 goals.

Natasha Coyle and Jordan Benson was also selected to the all-conference team.

In the NBA, the Clippers got crushed by the Golden State Warriors, 121-104.

Next up for the Clippers are the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday.

In the NHL, the Kings take on the New York Islanders tonight at Staples Center.

The Kings are coming off a five-game road trip. They went 1-4 on the swing.

But the Kings beat the Dallas Stars on Tuesday.
