Santa Clarita Sports Report: November 17, 2014: The Hart football team pulled of a heart-stopping comeback win over Edison from Huntington Beach in the first round of the CIF Southern Section West Valley Division playoffs.

Hart beat Edison, 30-22, scoring 20 points in the second half and erased a 12-point deficit.

Down 22-10 in the third quarter, Hart quarterback Brady White threw two touchdown passes to take the lead. The first went to Trent Irwin to cut the lead to 22-17.

Hart took the lead on a 37-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Dominguez on a 4th-and-11 play.

White threw another touchdown pass to Blake Fall to cap the comeback.

Hart plays Upland, the No. 1 seed in the West Valley Division playoffs, in the quarterfinals on Friday night. The game is at College of the Canyons.

The Valencia football team lost to Rancho Cucamonga, 52-20, in the first round of the West Valley Division playoffs.

Valencia trailed 24-6 at halftime.

The Canyon football team lost to Vista Murrieta, 56-21, in the first round of the West Valley Division playoffs.

In high school tennis, the Valencia girls won the CIF Southern Section Division 2 championship, beating Vista Murrieta, 10-8.

The Valencia doubles teams came through again, winning eight of nine sets.

Valencia finished with an undefeated 24-0 record and won the first CIF girls tennis championship in school history.

In high school volleyball, the Hart girls were swept by Aliso Niguel in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Division 1A playoffs.

Hart finished the season with a 19-3 record. They were the first Hart girls team to reach the quarterfinals of the CIF playoffs in school history.

In the NBA, the Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors, 136-115. The Lakers dropped to 1-9.

Next up for the Lakers are the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night.
