Santa Clarita Sports Report: November 26, 2014: The Santa Clarita Christian girls volleyball team swept Buckley in three games in the first round of the CIF State Division 5 playoffs.
Kylie Brown had another big game for Santa Clarita Christian. She had 12 kills, seven digs and six aces.
Samantha Villapondo paced the offense with 23 assists and Tiffany Shroyer had 11 digs.

The College of the Canyons women’s volleyball team beat Palomar College, 3-1, in the first round of the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs.
The COC women won their 17th match in a row. They are the No. 9 seed in the Southern California Regionals. The Lady Cougars will play Irvine Valley College in the second round on Saturday.
In college soccer, the College of the Canyons women lost to Cypress College on penalty kicks in the second round of the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs.
COC lost, 3-1, in the penalty kick shootout. The two teams tied 1-1 at the end of regulation. Each team scored a goal in the first overtime period. The score was tied 3-3 after the second overtime period.
The COC women finished with a 16-3-3 record.
In college basketball, The Master’s College men lost to Cal Poly Pomona, 72-58.
Russell Byrd scored 19 point and had seven rebounds for The Master’s College.
The Mustangs dropped to 2-2 on the season.

In the NHL, the Kings lost to the Nashville Predators, 4-3, in a shootout. The Predators scored the game winner in the sixth round of the shootout.
The Kings are back on the ice again tonight. They take on the Minnesota Wild.
