Santa Clarita Sports Report: October 21, 2014: There was a little shake up in the CIF Southern Section West Valley Division top 10 in football.
The Hart football team moved up a spot to No. 4. The Indians beat West Ranch, 42-14.
The Valencia football team dropped a spot to No. 10. The Vikings beats Saugus, 56-19.
Upland moved into the No. 1 spot after beating Chino Hills. Tesoro dropped from No. 1 to No. 3 after losing Mission Viejo.
The Trinity Classical Academy football team is No. 1 in the Southern Section Division 8-man poll. Trinity is the reigning Southern Section Division 2 8-man champion. This is the first time this season Trinity is ranked No. 1.
Santa Clarita High School Football
In high school volleyball, the Hart girls cracked the top 10 in the Southern Section Division 1A poll for the first time. The Indians are ranked No. 7.
The Valencia girls are ranked No. 8 in Division 1A.
Aliso Niguel is the No. 1 team in Division 1A.
The Santa Clarita Christian girls are ranked No. 2 in the Southern Section Division 5AA poll. The Trinity Classical Academy girls are ranked No. 9 in Division 5AA.
In cross country, the Saugus girls are ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Division 2 poll for the fifth week in a row.
The Saugus boys dropped out of the No. 1 spot for the first time this season. They are No. 3. The West Ranch boys are ranked No. 11.
In high school tennis, the Valencia girls are ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Division 2 poll. The Hart girls are No. 4 in Division 2.

In college cross country, the College of the Canyons won the combined sweepstakes at the Mt. San Antonio College Invite over the weekend.
The COC men’s team won the meet with a combined time of 1 hour, 5.33 minutes.
The COC women’s team was third at the meet.
The COC men’s team is ranked No. 1 in the state. The COC women are ranked No. 2 in the state.
