COC Football

It’s a battle of 3-4 teams at Falcon Field Saturday night as the Canyons Cougars look to get back to .500 overall and 2-1 in conference play against the Cerritos Falcons.

Cerritos is coming off of a 28-21 loss at Bakersfield, yet ranks two spots higher in the Southern CA National Division polls than the Cougars (9th compared to 11th).

The key to the Cougars success is directly tied to the play of starting quarterback CJ Williams. When he is finding Ethan Lazarek and Marquise Brown it opens up the offense for the likes 0f Tylan McBride to own the tempo of the game.

Kickoff from Falcon Field is at 6 pm.

TMU Soccer

Saturday is the final day of the regular season for both Mustangs soccer teams, and they have a double-header on the road at Vanguard. A win for each club would put them as a seeded team in the GSAC Conference Tournament.

Kickoff for the women’s team is at 12:30 pm and the men have a 3 pm start.

2016 World Series

Cleveland and Chicago are tied at 1-1 and play three straight games at Wrigley Field, starting Friday at 5:00 PM PT.

Los Angeles Lakers

The 1-0 Lakers head to Utah to face the Jazz in their home opener, however they’ll be without top scoring threats in Gordon Hayward (fractured finger) and Derrick Favors (knee), giving Los Angeles a great opportunity to move to 2-0 being at full strength against an undermanned squad.

Tip-off from Vivint Smart Home Arena is at 6:00 PM PT.
