COC Football

After two road losses against tough top 10 CCCAA ranked opponents, the Canyons Cougars look to get back on track against Grossmont at Cougar Stadium, Saturday night.

Kickoff is at 6 pm and you can listen to the game live on AM-1220 KHTS with Joe Soriano on the call.

The Master’s University

The Mustangs men’s and women’s soccer teams have a GSAC double-header on the road Saturday at San Diego Christian. The ladies have a 1:30 pm start and kickoff for the men is at 4 pm.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Dodgers got back to their winning ways after dropping the first two contests in their series down in San Diego. Last night, they chased Christian Friedrich in the sixth inning and scored nine runs from the fifth on to defeat the Padres, 9-4.

It’s the last weekend of the regular season and the last series of legendary broadcaster Vin Scully’s incredible career. LA will roll out its top starting pitchers with Rich Hill on the mound tonight, the ace Clayton Kershaw on Saturday and Kenta Maeda to close the season Sunday.

The Dodgers sit two games behind the Nationals for homefield advantage in the Divisional round and have the chance to make it up this weekend if the Nationals falter.

First pitch tonight in San Francisco is at 7:15 pm.

Los Angeles Rams

The Rams travel to Arizona for an NFC West matchup with divisional rival Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals are coming off an East Coast road trip loss at the hands of the Bills, while the Rams took care of business on their cross country road trip at Tampa Bay.

Reigning offensive Rookie of the Year Todd Gurley has yet to get the ground game going for LA through three games. Gurley is averaging just 2.9 yards per carry.

If Case Keenum and the passing offense can find ways to push the ball downfield, it will open up running lanes for the running game. He must look for Kenny Britt more on deeper routes. Britt is averaging 14.2 yard per reception, best on the team.

Kickoff from University of Phoenix Stadium is at 1:25 pm.
