In women’s soccer, the Santa Clarita Blue Heat opens against the Seattle Sounders tonight at The Master’s College.

Kickoff is at 5:30.

In auto racing, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West makes its annual visit to Kern County Raceway Park for the Armed Forces 150 on Saturday night.

Canyon High graduate Greg Pursley won the inaugural West Series race at Kern County Raceway Park last year. David Mayhew has won the past two West Series races.

They are both entered in Saturday night’s race.

The NASCAR Late Models and Spec-Mods are also scheduled to race. The green flag drops at 7.

In the major leagues, the Dodgers lost to the Mets, 5-3. The Dodgers won two of three games against the Mets.

They are off to Philadelphia to start a weekend series against the Phillies tonight.

Clayton Kershaw starts for the Dodgers against Roberto Hernandez for the Phillies.
