Saugus Girls Cross Country Team Finishes Fourth in Nike Nationals

sportslocalThe Saugus girls cross country came in fourth place in the Nike Cross Nationals meet in Portland, Ore., over the weekend. Kaylin Mahoney was the top runner for Saugus. She finished 13th in a field of 199 of the top runners in the country.

Karis Frankian finished 65th overall, second best for Saugus runners. Stephanie Bulder was 79th and Danielle Hernando was 92nd.

 

Amber Murakami finished 106th, followed by Merissa Kado in 120th and Emily McCarty in 134th.

The Saugus girls team finished in the top five in the country for the third year in a row.

Fayetteville-Manlius of New York won the Nike Cross Nationals, its fourth national championship in a row.

Golden Valley’s Seth Totten finished 17th in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships West Regional at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
