Santa Clarita High School Basketball

The Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals kept their momentum from Saturday night’s big victory over Valencia rolling into Monday’s Heritage League matchup with Lancaster Baptist, defeating the Eagles 80-35 to improve to 2-0 in league play and 5-7 overall.

In the last two games, the Cardinals (up to No. 5 in the latest CIF-SS Division 5AAA polls)  have outscored opponents 153-83, finding their form at the right time of the year as league play starts to heat up.

Next up for SCCS is more non-league action with Paraclete on Saturday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30.

Tuesday, the Foothill League tips off for both boys and girls basketball.
