After scoring 27 total runs in their past two games, who would have thought that a game with a total of only three runs would be the most dramatic of the Dodgers first homestand of the season?

Sunday afternoon’s game was all about good pitching and defense. The Giants finally put a number on the score board with a solo home run by Juan Uribe in the top of the 7th inning. Then, in the bottom of the 8th with one man on base, Manny Ramirez stepped in to pinch hit. Giving the fans their biggest thrill of the day, if not the weekend, Manny got a pitch right in his wheel house, and slammed it in to the bleachers giving the Dodgers a 2-1 lead. The Giants went scoreless in the top of the 9th, giving the Dodgers the win, as well as 2 out of 3 games in the series.
