August 1, 2011 Dodgers Over Padres 6-2

Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers began a six game road trip in San Diego with game one of a three game series at Petco Park against the Padres. San Diego got the jump on the Dodgers early in the first inning and scored making it 1-0. In the Second, L.A. tied things up 1-1 with a James Loney RBI. A run by Kemp in the fourth inning gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead. Jamey Carroll and Clayton Kershaw opened things up in the fifth making it 4-1 Dodgers. Then in the bottom of the seventh, The Padres cut the Dodgers lead in half with a homerun by Orlando Hudson making it a 4-2 Dodgers lead. The Dodgers extended their lead 6 to 2 with runs by Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp. The Dodgers went on to defeat the Padres 6-2.
