August 13 2011: Dodgers Beat Astros 6-1

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ Matt Kemp struck a homer in the Bottom of the First with Andre Ethier on 1st base, starting the game off right with a double, making the score 2-0. Then, in the Bottom of the Sixth, Tony Gwynn brazenly steals third and then scored on a throwing error by Astros catcher Carlos Corporan, and regrettably, the Astros made three errors this game. Adding to the Astros unfortunate team history, they didn’t make it on the scoreboard until The Top of the Eighth when Julio Martinez doubled to deep right, allowing Jason Bourgeois to make the their only score. It was a valiant effort, but didn’t come close to stopping the Dodgers who dominated with a final score of 6-1.
