August 18, 2011: Dodgers Avoid 4 Game Sweep, Win 5-1

In the fourth game of the series the Dodgers avoided the sweep with a 5-1 victory over the red hot Brewers.

Dodgers Catcher Rod Barajas got things started early with a solo home run in the second inning.  The lone run was all Dodger pitcher Clayton Kershaw needed as he pitched eight shutout innings while striking out six.

The Dodgers added insurance runs in the seventh and eighth innings making the score 5-0 heading to the ninth.  The Brewers got one run off a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth but it was too little too late and the Dodgers put a hault to its three game losing steak.

The Boys in Blue are back in action tomorrow night as they head to Colorado to take on the Rockies.  Pre-game can be heard right here on AM1220 KHTS starting at 5:00 p.m. and first pitch is set for 5:40 p.m.
