The L.A. Kings faced off against the #1 team in the NHL, the Detroit Redwings at Staples Center this evening. At the end of regulation time they were tied at 2 apiece. Midway through the 5 minute sudden death overtime period, Anze Kopitar scored the game winning goal for the Kings.  Final Score: Los Angeles Kings – 3, Detroit Redwings – 2
