Saturday, the Los Angeles Kings continued their road trip with a big win in our nation’s capital. The Kings and Washington Capitals faced off in Washionton, D.C. At 1:06 into the first period, a wrist shot by Alex Ovechkin put the Capitols on the board 1 to 0. At 10:41 into the second period, L.A. answered back with a goal by Anze Kopitar tieing things up at 1-1. The Kings came alive in the third period with goals by Andrei Loktionov at 3:36, Michael Handzus at 12:28 and the King’s final goal knocked in by Jarret Stoll at 13:36. 4 to 1 was the final.
