May 13 2011: Dodgers Beat Diamondbacks 4-3

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3. Clayton Kershaw might have pitched his best game of the season recording 11 strikeouts, one shy of his career high, and retiring 13 batters in a row. Rod Barajas hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the 5th inning to put the Dodgers up 1-0. An RBI double in the bottom of 6th by Matt Kemp scored Jamey Carroll. A series of errors by Diamondback’s shortstop Stephen Drew help score two more runs for the Dodgers in the bottom of the 7th. The D-Backs started to make a comeback in the top of the 9th scoring two runs off of Vicente Padilla, but the Dodgers held off Arizona to win the game 4-3. Tune in tomorrow at 3:30pm for game 2 of a 3 game series against the Diamondbacks on your Hometown Station KHTS AM-1220.
