The Kings get the edge on their home opener as they beat the Thrashers Tuesday night. Chris Thorburn from the Thrashers scored the first goal against the Kings early in the 2nd period. Then Kings rallied early in the 3rd period with to goals from Ryan Smyth and Jarret Stoll. Ryan Smyth put the final nail in the coffin as he scored on a empty net and sealed the win for the Kings.
