Friday, the Kings played the New York Rangers at the Erickson Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The first goal of the game came in the first period when Anze Kopitar scored at 10:51 making it 1-0 Kings. New York answered back to tie things up 1-1 with a goal by Ryan Callahan at 15:22.
After a scoreless second period, the Rangers knocked one in at 10:28 followed with a Kings goal by Mike Richards at 15:01. 2-2 was the score at the end of the third period and the game went to overtime. At 4:08, Jack Johnson knocked in a goal on a power play giving the Kings a 3 to 2 win over the Rangers.
