The Pirates got off to a quick 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first with a 3 run homer by Garret Jones.  The Dodgers scored 3 runs in the top of the 5th to tie the game.

The Dodgers had the go ahead run 90 feet away in the top of the 9th, but were not able to take advantage of the opportunity, as Manny Ramierez grounded out for the fnal out of the 9th. The pirates went scoreless in the bottom of the 9th, sending the game into extra innings.

The Dodgers left two men on base in the top of the 10th, including another go-ahead run 90 feet away when James Loney stole 3rd.

In the bottom of the 10th, Ronny Cedeno hit a line drive base hit to drive in the winning run.
