This week’s games:

Saugus versus Canyon

Canyon seems to be firing on all cylinders giving up 14 points a game on defense and averaging close to 40 points a game on offense.

Saugus at times looked unstoppable running the ball and sometimes looked confused when possessing the pig skin. Defensively the Centurions are a force to be reckoned with but they need to limit the mistakes on offense if they want to win this game.

Golden Valley versus Hart

Golden Valley showed signs of life in the first quarter of their game last week against the Cowboys. The Grizzles led in the first quarter 7-6, but Canyon scored 42 unanswered points and won 48-7.

Hart struggled a bit early but were able to turn things on offensively and beat West Ranch 38-24.

Golden Valley will struggle to keep the Hart offense in check.

West Ranch versus Valencia

Valencia did not play exceptionally well in their win last week against Saugus, 12 penalties for 102 yards and their offense did not play well at times.

West Ranch’s defense held the Indians to less than 50 points which is a feat in itself and with the Vikings offense showing kinks in the armor the Wildcats could surprise some folks in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Be sure to tune in Friday at 7:00 p.m. for the Saugus versus Canyon on KHTS AM 1220.
