The Tigers got on the board first and fast. Austin Jackson hit a lead off double in the top of the first inning. He then made it to third base on a throwing error. Reed Johnson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Jackson. That was the only time a Tiger crossed home plate all night.
It took until the bottom of the fourth inning for the Dodgers to tie the score. They added two more unanswered runs in the bottom of the fifth and another in the bottom of sixth. With no more scoring, the Dodgers won the game 4-1. The Dodgers are now six games over 500 and tied for first in their division.
The Dodgers and the Tigers will go at it again Saturday afternoon with the Pre-Game Show starting at 3:30 and the first pitch at 4:10. Catch all of the action on AM1220KHTS, your Hometown Station.
