The Master’s College Men Lose To Cal State San Marcos

The Master’s College men’s basketball team lost to Cal State San Marcos, 90-67.

Derrick Fain scored 12 points to lead The Master’s College. Zach Stalin also scored 12 points off the bench.

The Master’s College men dropped to 11-2. Cal State San Marcos, ranked No. 4 in the NAIA, improved to 17-1.

Santa Clarita High School Sports

In high school football, Dan Kelley was hired as the new coach at Golden Valley. Kelley was the head coach at Arleta High School. He was 26-7 in three years at Arleta. His team went 9-2 in 2013.

Robert Fisher coached the Golden Valley football team for three years before stepping down at the end of this season. He was 2-8 in 2013.

Golden Valley is 13-77 in nine seasons at the varsity level. The Grizzlies are 0-39 against Foothill League teams.

Los Angeles Sports Report

In the NBA, the Lakers lost to the Dallas Stars, 110-97. The Lakers have lost eight of their past nine games. They are 14-21.

Next up for the Lakers are Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets tonight. Tipoff is at 5.

In the NHL, the Kings lost to the Minnesota Wild, 2-1, in a shootout. Jarrett Stoll scored his sixth goal of the season in the third period to give the Kings a 1-0 lead.

The Wild tied the score later in the third period. They won the game in the fourth round of the shootout.

The Kings have lost six of their past seven games. The Boston Bruins are at Staples Center for a game against the Kings on Thursday night.
